Tre Figli Dolci

Traditional Italian cookies, made with family recipes

See what I make

My three sons, and a lifetime of sweetness

Tre Figli Dolci means “three sons’ sweets” — named for my three boys: Anthony, Andrew, and Chris.

Both sides of my family come from Calabria, in the south of Italy. My father made the journey to America as a young boy, and my mother was born here in the States soon after her own parents left Calabria for the same new start. They couldn’t bring much with them — but they carried the recipes, the techniques, and the traditions, passed down hand to hand, generation to generation.

Today I bake with those traditions as my foundation — the old Calabrian and Italian recipes I grew up with — while adding little touches of my own to make each one special. Real butter and almond, anise and honey, patience and love. Every batch is a little piece of that history, made to be shared at the moments that matter most.

What I make

A tray from my kitchen is a little tour of Italy — a handful of the classics I bake for weddings and celebrations.

Pizzelle

Delicate anise-kissed waffle cookies, pressed thin and crisp — the classic centerpiece of any Italian cookie tray.

Chocolate Spice Cookies

Rich and old-world, warm with cocoa and spice and finished in a soft sugar glaze.

Ricotta Cookies

Pillowy-soft and tender, made with fresh ricotta and topped with a sweet almond icing.

Pignoli

Chewy almond-paste cookies rolled in golden pine nuts — a true Italian delicacy.

Cuccidati

Tender fig-filled S-shaped cookies, spiced and lightly glazed — a treasured holiday and celebration tradition.

… and many more

These are just a few favorites. Ask about seasonal and holiday cookies, and the many other classics I bake throughout the year.

Reviews

Nothing means more to me than hearing from the families and couples I’ve baked for. If I made the cookies for your celebration, I’d love it if you shared a few words — it helps other families find me.
